Friday March 25, 7:30-9:30pm:  A presentation and slideshow with City Repair's Mark Lakeman on how Portland is becoming the greenest city in America!  What if we could turn the spaces we inhabit into places of ecological stewardship, creativity, and people power?  Join us in welcoming Mark and learn about what we can do in our neighbourhoods to go beyond green!

Cash bar available by W2 Catering.

Please also join us the following day at W2 Storyeum for a fantastic day of community building:

Saturday March 26, 10am-5pm: Workshops with Mark Lakeman, Power of Hope and Village Vancouver that will increase your skills for ecologically repairing your neighbourhood.  Start the day with an exercise in reconnecting community through fun Collaborative Games with facilitation by Power of Hope.  We will then move into Intersection and Block Repair workshops with Mark Lakeman and Village Vancouver.

Please arrive between 9:30 am and 10:00 am Saturday to sign-in!

Mark Lakeman is a co-founder and sustainer of numerous world-changing initiatives and organizations, including The City Repair Project, the Village Building Convergence, Communitecture Inc, Dignity Village, and the new Planet Repair Institute. Each of these entities is an aggressive, multi-disciplinary creative culture, working in partnership with numerous others. All of Mark's work engages and inspires place-based communities to creatively transform the social and environmental infrastructure of the public commons and private realms where people live. Often featuring permaculture or natural building techniques, each local initiative builds relational networks while leaving gorgeous footprints on the path to a better world. http://activistarchitect.blogspot.com/2005/11/mark-lakeman-communitecture-andcity.html
